Image
Target audience -  The typical target audience for the pop genre is 16 to 21 year olds. It is very mainstreamed and is called pop because it is all the songs that are very popular. Most of the songs are aimed at young girls. The social demographic is a working class teenager. The will most likely be students that have a part time job. Their hobbies will be hanging out with their friends, going to parties, watching Netflix, going to festivals or concerts and spending time on social media. Uses and gratifications -  It will follow the entertaining aspect of the uses and gratifications theory. This will make it very relatable to the audience and allow them to have fun listening to what they are listening to. The music videos do this by offering solutions to people and show them that they are not alone and that other people are going through what they are and that they are not alone.

The song makes you feel very free and at home. People in or out of a relationship can relate to this because it is about someone you love, feel at ease around and can be yourself around without feeling judged. Music Video Analysis

Compare and contrast the two videos. How do the representations promote the artist? How might different audiences read the two videos? Apart from the artist, who and what else is being represented and why?   For my two videos I am  comparing and contrasting  ‘Heaven’ by  Emeli  Sande and ‘Titanium’ by David Guetta  ft   Sia .  ' Heaven'  is  square framing ,  this  allows the artist to have lots of different scenes and shots throughout the video.  It also lets the audience know that it will not be a story/narrative.    Where as  'Titanium' is letterbox framing, which tells the audience that the music video is a narrative;  a story. In 'H eaven' there are lots of camera flares, these circles of light could indicate spirits. Some   shots are  very  clear  and some are very grainy which  potenti ally  means that they are flashbacks or memories. In contrast to this, in 'Titanium' the shots are in harmony w ith  the music, for example   when the music i
